Wow. I like it alot!!!

I'll definitely have to look into these..

now the one problem is it isn't really compatible with other guns except Tiberius...sorta giving them a control over guns used with this.

Although...may be able to modify a Tippmann Model 98C...

shall have to look into this

Bloody hell, they're asking $6 for just eight of them? That's insane.

Also, they seem to be skipping conveniently over the fact that it'll take over a second for it to make it out to 100 yards. If your opponent is moving, you're really going to have your work cut out to hit them, guessing where they'll be when the projectile gets there.

Sure, you might be able to pound 10 out of 10 into a stationary man sized target at those ranges. A moving target, and I'd wager that you're going to get a lot of misses.
This looks like a round that is only really usable for "trick shots" - and that doesn't sound a good use of money to me.

You bring up a good point Rag.

The price is extremely high, but it has to be.

I have a feeling these rounds will not be very popular for a couple of reasons.

1) The price

2) Right now, It can only be fired out of Tiberius markers. Not everyone owns a Tiberius. I own an A5. However, I'm sure in the near future, markers will be modified to shoot these (As I am extremely tempted to do with a 98C)

We'll see

Awesome. The curving is really annoying when playing paintball.

Though I bet they'll be DAMN FREAKING expensive. AND may need a special marker to be fired from. (Which is even more expensive)

EDIT:
6$ for 8?
Thats just what I thought.

Instead taking the enemy out with a few of these, you could've shot about 100 normal balls at them for the same price!
Even a Gatling gun has potential to be cheaper.

EDIT2:
We could make this on our own right? Bit of ghettoness, duct tape and epoxy and you're all set.

Standard law enforcement pepper balls are around the same price. These shoot at higher velocities than standard paintballs, and the curving on them are horrible.

If these rounds above were to be adopted for law enforcement or military use (non-lethal applications), I think this company may be able to take these somewhere.

For these to hit mainstream, of course the price is an issue as well as marker adaptability for these rounds. Not to mention getting field owners to use them.

In other words, these things have potential, but they have bigger problems.

That was sort of my theory, that they have a low hit per dollar ratio.

At close range, it's probably more cost effective to fire regular balls until you hit.
At mid range, it may be an even split.
And at long range, the chance of hitting a moving target makes both methods pretty wasteful.

I was considering that myself. Surely it can't be too difficult to find a way to add some kind of a tail to a paintball.

I mean, do a ring of paper that's a little under the diameter of a paintball, sit it on a paintball, dribble some glue in around the join... a passable alternative for a tenth of the cost.
It might not have see an increase in effective breaking range, but at least it wouldn't hook wildly.

I already tried to make something like this for my paintball but haven't had time to c if they increase the accuracy yet. My garden is probably too small as well to notice the difference lol.

Fairly simple way to do it would be with a paper cup. Fill it with hot glue an put the paintball on it and she ought to be fine.

The shape is similar to the ones the FN uses but the actual projectile composition isn't, there are the ones the FN fires:

There is ALOT of hype surrounding these in the paintball world... but i think its unjustified because as has already been mentioned, the price is horrific, add to that the cost of upgrading a Tiberius 8 or 9 to fire the round which is supposed to be in the $150 region... and an expensive hobby just got more expensive... i definitely won't be getting any... well not for paintballing

Sounds even more wasteful elsewhere. If you're not using it for paintball, surely there are ways to make other projectiles that cost less and can do a similar job.

You could even try a ring of masking tape around the paintball, I have my doubts as to how effective the "air rifling" is as opposed to the fact that a hollow tail adds draw stabilisation.

I 2nd that notion with the "air rifling" although, this does give me a veyr good Idea of how to copy these.Plus HDPE is cheap and readily avaliable,i'm going to copy a deisgn like this for sure!
