www.launchpotatoes.com Will cost a little more for shipping, but sgort87 (the owner), has them here. You can find a link to his site on the left below the recent topics.

Welcome to Spudfiles.

Sprinkler valves are very unusual in the UK. No-one seems to water their lawns like they do in the US!
Sprinkler valves can be had, but they are much more expensive than in the US so we tend to stick to other valves. Large bore rated PVC is also a bit more expensive (mostly you have to buy 5m) so there are a lot more copper cannons, but if it's PVC you want it can definately be done.

Ball valves are fine for simple pneumatic cannons, and if you've never used one before, you'll still be impressed!
QEVs are great valve, but they only go up to 3/4", so no barrels above 32mm for them really.
Above that are custom piston valves. They work in the same way as QEVs and are not too hard to make, but I wouldn't reccomend making one your first project.

Check out www.uksgc.co.uk for some ideas.
Whereabouts in the UK are you?

http://www.trssupplies.co.uk
http://www.hendersons.co.uk/Pipework2/index.html

These are the two best internet suppliers for UK PVC pipe, postage isn't too hard, but it might well be worth checking out your local pipestock or grahams first if you prefer to buy offline.

You just need to know what to look for :P

http://tinyurl.com/cco4qf
1 0.5" also sells "lots more valves"

http://tinyurl.com/dheajk
2 for £20 - 1.5"

Neither of these are the type you see in the US, but there should there would be a way to pneumatically mod them.

Edit: could someone please PM me how to fix those links?

PCGUY: Fixed links, sometimes goofy URL's with lots of oddball characters in them can mess up a post. When that happens, I use www.tinyurl.com to fix it and post the TinyURL link. This is very rare.

That's not a blank post, there is a character in the code that doesn't belong and I can't find it. This happened before and PCGUY told me it's a trade mark symbol the number 2 circled, but I can't find it.
