Questions about compression fittings

Here are a few Q's for anyone who can anser.
I want to make a copper piston valve using compression fittings, and not soldering. So...
1. Can the pipe slide through the fitting without modification? This is to make the seat, so whether I go with coaxial or tee, I need this option or I need suggestions to make the valve seat.
2. Are there such things as compression bushings, or will I have to use a short piece of pipe in the front port of the tee, to a reducer, in which the seat will go in?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

If you are going copper you are going to have to solder eventually. It's like using PVC without primer and cement.

And compression fittings for copper pipe that are about as strong as soldering.

1) No
2) You can get pre-made reducers.
