Most gauges are 1/8" NPT just drill a 1/4" hole and you should be fine. I would also recommend using a pipe tap they are pretty cheap and can save your chamber. Super glue is a bad idea! If you do need to seal anything you should use JB Weld.

Also I don't suggest putting "cock" in your cannon...

1/4" hole is too small, I use 3/8" usually.

some do some don't, depends on size, valve, pressure and the area you are in, e.g hills, caves, flat, neighbourhood.

some smaller pneu rifles use silencers but bigger cannons tend not to,if you want it silent, make it small.you shouldnt be really using a big pneu cannon in your backyard if your close to other houses.most of the time the silencers are just for looks as silencers that muffle/supress more then 2db are illegal

NO!!!! Silencers are NOT illegal!!! These are NOT firearms/destructive devices! Firearm laws do NOT apply!

The f*ing point is that a silencer doesn't make it illegal!

If a judge says that it's a destructive device then it doesn't matter if you have a silencer or not, you're f*ed.

Also if a judge does say it's a destructive device you were probably doing something stupid like shooting at people's cars, houses, etc or shooting flaming ammo or steel slugs!

The NFA o' 1934 defines a supressor as a device than can be attached to the barrel of a firearm and reduce noise output; firearm is defined as a weapon that discharges a projectile via explosive means. (or maybe it required fixed cartriges of explosive... I'd have to check...)

Note that the law on the supresors acctualy says "ANY" sound reduction.
Now, how this doesn't apply to chokes that extend beyond the normal barrel on shotguns (or such)... I don't know.

A destructive device is defined (also in that evil bit of legislation from 1934) as a weapon possesing a bore >.5", powered by an explosive (which is defined elsewhere to be a solid, I believe), and having no "legitimate sporting purpose"

You should read the "Are they illegal?" letter from the ATF.
