I don't know about 2 liters but normal soda bottles you can look at the Water Dawg. It uses two of Joels Supah valves.

You would most likely be best off building your own chamber sealing valve. Theres a really really easy tutorial at bcvids.com

supah valves are really expensive

It wouldn't be 6" maybe 4" just measure a 2 liter bottle.

2-Liter bottles fit very well in 5" SCH 40 PVC. This pipe size is very rare though; the fittings can be bought off of amazon.com however.

And isnt the valve that is shown on bcvids a barrel sealing one?

Do you have any idea how much recoil a 2-liter bottle launcher has?

Loads, as our freind DR <a href="http://forums.spudtech.com/topic.asp?TO ... relates</a> to us.

As I suggested in that thead, I suggest a recoilless design here - but with one change; build the cannon inline.

Such a design (inline) would eliminate the need for any fittings, thus cutting the cost significantly.

Howabout just building a gun that shoots cans? It will be cheaper for both cannon, and the ammo, and you will still get a nice exploding effect when the can hits something.

Why not make it to shoot 600mL bottles? They hold a bit more than cans, and they have a lid so you can drink them then fill them with whatever you like.

dont fill the bottle up with anything when you shoot it just water because i have a 2 liter bottle rocket launcher that i designed and built and me and my friends decided to put shredded cheese into the bottle  and i made the launcher so that you have to pull down a section of pipe that holds the bottle down and when i pulled it shredded cheese sprayed on my hand and it stung i had like 100 little welts on my hand for a week and i only had pumped it up to 60psi it felt like gettung shot by an air soft gun in the hand 100 times.
