i went to a fishing store near the ocean and i saw the weights that were ball shaped i can't remember the weight but they looked like the would fit in a 1" or maybe 3/4" barrel. they were pretty heavy. would that be too heavy for a pnumatic?

i never knew how big sea fishing sinkers are, i thought it would be the same as fresh water fishing sinkers.

this one was huge the biggest i ever seen i thought it might do a lot of damage if it worked. maybe buy one a little big then shave off the side to make it fit in the barrel and maybe drill a few holes to make it lighter

there are HUGE ones for deep sea fishing, you can buy molds to cast your own lead sinkers, you could easily do that with a propane torch i'd bet, i'm planning on casting lead slugs in 1/2" copper for some super heavy ammo, i've got a small ladle that plumbers used to pour liquid lead around old pipes in houses to seal them, and i'll just heat up lead in it over a prop. torch and cast the slugs

so it won't be too heavy

im big on fishing and my grandpa is to, i got my first torch from him and i felt like making some costum "weights" out of sinkers, they turned out like blobs. but lead fishing weights melt really good with a propane torch and when i go to alabama to sea fish ive seen 10lb weighs that are just balls with holes in them for line. maybe thats what i could shoot out of my 8in pipe, lol. shoot like 4 inches maybe. good idea sarge

haha a lead slug out of a 8" gun, hollow lead may work

There is no "too heavy". Actually, energy (especialy downrange energy) increases continualy with projectile mass.

where can i find lead thats not a for a fishing sinker?

umm, u can buy blocks of lead at most fishing stores. ppl who make their own weights buy thoughs and melt them into molds.

you could also probably buy a bag of lead shot for shotshells and melt that

Didn't they ban lead shot in the USA, now its tungsten, i dont know if you can melt it with a propane torch, you probably can tho

i dont think they banned lead shot, think about how many things we use that contain lead, but i dont know because i've got so much of the old stuff that i've been using i havent had to buy new shot.
