no i think it should be fine if you let it cure for 20hrs instead of a full 24. just be sure not to aim directly at people. also dont use high pressures, id keep it around 20-60 PSI*

Red, you need to work on your legalese. 20-60 PSI.*

I believe less curing time is required when the weather is hot.

You would believe wrong.
Let it cure for the entire 24 hours and go one game without the cannon. Or if its a game with your friends, try and make it happen later.

ya, i think ill play it safe, not for my safety, but the cannons, i put alot of work into this one (7 mile round trip to hardware store...on my bike) try carrying pvc on a bike..in public for 3.5 miles -_-
plus my first attempt was pathetic and if i cant get this one to work, im afraid ill just give up entirely.

It should be fine, I have tested cannons at full pressure after only 14 hours of cure time, where do you live and is it dry or humid, how about the temperature?
Those all affect how long it takes to cure, 24 is just playing it safe.
There is no magic number.

I have tested some of my cannons with about 60psi about an hour after curing.
