60 Caliber Paintballs

Does anyone know if there are 60 caliber paintballs? They would be perfect for a 1/2 inch barrel because they would only be .002 of an inch smaller than the barrel. I looked on ebay, but they only sold 62 and 68 caliber paintballs.

Why would htey have paintballs in .60?
why nor just get some 3/4" sch 80 and shoot regular paint balls.

Isn't a 0.60 calibre paintball 0.6 inches in diameter, and by definition would not fit in a 1/2 inch barrel?

Well, for one, the only paintballs I've seen are .68 caliber. And two, I think you're much mistaken on the definition of caliber. A .60 cal paintball would be .6 inches in diameter, thats .1 more than .5, meaning it won't fit in a .5 inch barrel. you should probably think about getting some 3/4 in PVC.

Even if they did make them, it would be much easier and cheaper to get a barrel for 68 caliber paint balls. There are several varieties of pipe that are all a great fit.

3/4" CTS CPVC (can be found at most hardware stores)
1/2" SDR 13.5 (not too hard to find, but it is flimsy)
3/4" SCH 120 (very hard to find, but good and sturdy)

Does anyone know a place or site to get 3/4 sch 120? I've looked all over the internet, and I can't find it. No luck in town either, as the selection of sch 40 is abysmal as is... Maybe E-Bay?

Does your hardware store not have 3/4" CPVC? It is the gold piping with a stripe down the side. It's for cold/hot water applications.

I'll check up on that. What is the inner diameter? I heard that 3/4" schedule 120 is .681 or something similar. Is the pipe you mentioned even near that close to .68? I need a very good fit for paintballs. Thanks for the suggestion!

3/4" sch 80 works fine too.

3/4" CTS CPVC - Avg. ID 0.695
1/2" SDR 13.5 - Avg. ID 0.696
3/4" SCH 120 - Avg. ID 0.690
3/4" SCH 80 - Avg. ID 0.722

I would only use SCH 80 as a last resort, but considering how common the first two pipes are, I doubt it would ever be needed.
True that SCH 120 is the best fit on average, but the ID of PVC isn't very consistent so it would be completely possible to get some CPVC that was a better fit than SCH 120. However I do have some SCH 120 that is the best fit I have seen. I got it in a trade with an old forum member long ago.

Thanks! I'll see if I can find CTS CPVC or SDR. I highly doubt I'll get any SCH 120 though...

I know they sell 50 caliber, but I need the 60 caliber because 1/2 inch pvc schedule 40 has an i.d. of .602
