This is my second gun and first propane gun.
I’m from South Africa and parts are kind of different here than to most of the guns here but if you want a gun you guys will share the same feeling as me: If you want it you will get it hehehehe.

The combustion chamber gives me 2.4l on the spot.
I have 3 barrels now .8 and a 1.5 and one for a tennis ball (filled with water)

And then there is a fan timer with 18volt on the fan and a cleanout time of 15sec and a mixing time of 8sec

Thank you 4 a very good and interesting site.

If you have any ideas or see any errors let me know thank you!

Thank you!!!

No I did not use paint I tried a 10000000 places but no paint I found wanted to stick to the piping I found krylon paint

(http://www.krylon.com/main/product_temp ... ct_details)

on the net and it is pvc/plastic fusion paint and will test that soon.

This is pressure rated 40sch PVC for the barrel and sch 80 for the combustion chamber that is more common on farm piping (used for the sprayers) and also used in swimming pools and high pressure piping in golf courses.

The company is called http://www.effast.co.za (real $%#@%# site) but gives good customer help)

That's some sweet gunnage you have built there...looks like lots of beefy sched 80 parts. Very well thought out and constructed! You have obviously been studying building spudguns sometime before now. Very nice job!

I also like your new "rifle" plans. My only comment about it is that your "burnt gas" release as you have it is usually configured as a fresh air intake with the fan blowing into the chamber, burnt gases exiting the barrel side of the chamber. Fan turbulence will assist combustion toward the barrel in that configuration.

Welcome to Spudfiles!

Thank you!!!

The stock is to get behind the barrel to aim better, help allot!
Will post the other straight one friday if all goes well

O and to have the glue look like this make shure your in no rush to finish the gun, i know its not easy to take your time in building a gun.

O and starman now we will build a few in the days to come hehehehehe
PS starman I saw now the fan must blow in the other direction thanks for bringing it up My afrikaans is messing up my eng hehehehe gas out must be air in.

Nice tip, but I usually let double posts slide if they're an hour or two apart and aren't spam. :)

Very nice cannon, well thought out and constructed.

You should be a nice asset to the Spudfiles community in the near future. :)

Hope you stick around, again, great stuff on the cannon.

You should have a read over the Posting Rules for the forum, if you have any trouble understanding anything just let me know.

Thanks. :)

We use Krylon Fusion paint, mostly. Some use it for primer allowing the use of paint not meant for plastic.

Do you have a video camera?
I would love to see this in action!
Very nicely done, great build.

Really, any kind of plastic primer will allow you to use any kind of paint you want. That means more colors can be used in stead of few colors Krylon Fusion offers.

I was wondering I have a 9volt and a 3volt (2 x 1.5 AA) to get 12volt but the 9volt kills the 3volt so will it be fine to add 2 9volts in a 12 volt fan or will a 12volt led added in dring the volt down to be save for the fan?

Ps The gun I build last night cost me round R750 that is about $100 is this what you guys pay 2?
