It's finally finished! I have my first Direct Injection gun. It's got a built in fan and the ignition system is a self-contained, removable unit.
I'm using MAPP gas and this thing sounds like a frikkin 30.06 when it goes off. I really thought I was going to blow it up the first few times I fired it.
Direct Injection is the shizznit!

I've got more images and details on my website:

Thanks for all the great ideas guys. This place hase really inspired me.
I may even have to build Pneumatic Cannon or two before this is over!

Thanks rna_duelers, I haven't done much shooting yet, just finished it late last Sunday. I'll be doing some shooting this weekend. My last gun was the BFSG-4000 (also posted here) and it was putting golf balls through 3/4" plywood. I'm pretty sure this gun will prove to be much more powerful.

If you want to see damage you can check out the "Gallery of Destruction" for
the BFSG-4000 : http://klugeboy.net/BFSG-4000/Gallery/G ... ction.html

I'll be putting up pics for the TA-3100 Gallery of Destruction this weekend with any luck...

The fan is an Evercool AL7015 70mm Ball Aluminum Case Cooling Fan. I got it at NewEgg.com

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.a ... 6835119029

It was held in the frame with four screws. Once I removed the screws I had the just fan with four little plastic legs. It just happened to fit nicely in the Cleanout so I hot glued it in place. Simple.

Very Nice Gun!

Very clean looking. I would never guessed that a semi gloss light blue would look so nice on a cannon. Removable spark gaps are very awesome. Nice job with the metering system, although the hoses seem longer then they need to be.

Again, very nice job. Its good to see people that spend time on there cannons.
