it just adds pressure, way more pressure, the gauge may shoot up so high when its been combusted together with it... some are idiots

no, it cools the ari so its smaller so more fits into the chamber

Leeeeshad, I have to correct you - one, you have kicked up a dead topic

Two, the Nitrous oxide is an oxidiser and it's virtue is not cooling the air, it's purpose is to replace it.

On it's own it is non-flammable - but combining it with a inflammable gas, it massively increases the burn rate over air, and potentially allows you to use more fuel.

Say you had a house fire - burning in air, it goes at a certain rate. Using pure oxygen or Nitrous oxide instead of the air, and the flames would be larger and hotter, but the fuel would run out quicker.

people think that ammonium nitrate on its own will explode
Actualy it can but it is extremly hard to do. texas city disaster 17,000,000 pounds first a fire then it detonated

nitrous does not make it a hotter burn, just powerful, the oxygen fuels the gas and the nitrogen expands creating a pressure but dampening the flame. NITROGEN is not flammable.
