Looks pretty good yet ghetto (but thats fine also). Alas, the gun is nothing without an ignitor. What do you plan on using for fuel and ammo?

Anyhow, great use of readily available items!

Just remember, melted plastic shrapnel sticks to skin in a horrifying way.

any combustion cannon runs that risk. this one wouldn't hurt as much as other cannons i've seen. anywho idgas.

have you shot it yet? i made a coke bottle combustion and it melted after the first shot.

Sorry to go off topic, but Lewbo, what fuel did you use? Alcohol can melt chambers, because it won't burn completely during the combustion, so some will be left burning in the chamber after the shot. Most other fuels (propane, etc...) won't do that, and are much less likely to melt.

Back on topic, I think this is a very cool use of old junk :) I've never built a gun completely from spare parts. I should give it a try, it might end up pretty cool.

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

lol well i fired it. and no, there was no chunks of plastic flying up. the plastic is very soft so it would melt a hole before it would ever explode with sharp plastic flyin everywhere.

IMO the plastic would melt after a couple of shots or get so warm and soft the screws would blow out

Not really, If built well it should last 5 years!
