thats a sweet cannon.

can i guess what your "secret method" is that you used to attach the ball valve?

my guess is that you drilled a hole in the cap and glued it on. am i right?

Damn... nice clean gun!

Aluminum cam locks are the best... Even though I don't care if I have to muzzle load a projectile or not, they just make a launcher look so much better!

Long barrels are also sick... most people would chop the barrel at 60" on a gun like this, just to make it more ergonomic. But I am sure this 96" barrel packs a serious punch (I would have kept the long barrel too 8) ).

How is the ball valve attached? Hmm...

1) Threaded on with a pipe nipple?
2) Solvent welded with a short piece of pipe and something else on the other side of the clean out cap?
3) Magic?

Once again, awesome cannon... definitely one of the better combustions that I have seen.

Beautiful job. I have a very similar gun with two handles, a 1.5" vent valve, a spark strip, and propane instead of mapp. I'm going to use your idea for barrel supports, and see if I can find some of those camlocks.

Very very clean build. I love it. How's the range?

Peace,
Pete Zaria.

Wow that is an awsome looking cannon, kind of suprises me it used to be you old mapp one (I can still see the resemblince, but it looks a lot better this way).
I'm wondering if thats an actual clean-out cap though, because there looks to be about a 1/4" lip around the end of the female adapter;
So I'm guessing its

a) some sort of pressure rated plug, or
b)you reinforced the clean out cap with some sort of material, possibly to help support a pipe nipple the valve is threaded/cemented on to?
