Damn, that some tight ass "gun" control laws. You're "down under" right?
So what do you folks do if you're attacked by a herd of crazed Ketchup bottles?
Or a lunatic with sour cream, chives and bacon bits?
------------------------------------------------------
Are pneumatic and combustion nailers legal? If you add a bump trigger on the front of a spud gun would that make it legal? (Course, then it work like a nail gun and not a projectile launcher.)

you beat them to death with your fists, or shank them with a pen. doubt that they will prosecute you for that, also you could use a cane, makes a good weapon if you have one with a big metal handle
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08

last week the police came in to have a little talk about the law .........anyway....they were saying that if someone punches you and you defend yourself e.g. (breaking that guys nose)......you would be charged with bodily harm to that person....they also said that that would be an unnesersery amount of force......they said that you should just walk away.....um yeah, walk away....if they were prepared to punch you, they would just keep hassling you................I think stun guns should be legal....would you rather be stab with a knife or a less lethal zap......also i just remember a story my mate told me....well he had a cane...and the police stoped next to him and took the cane away, and said that it was an illegal weapon..............ahhhhhhhh so many australian laws are so f*#ked up....and they say its a "Free country"Benster wrote:man, the Aussie Government certainly doesn't believe in a persons right to defend themselves do they? I guess they figure if the fuzz can't protect you, your stuck, eh?

It's a freakin dictatorship wrapped in nice "free" glad wrap.
They ( little Hitlers in power) can go and fuck themselves as far as i am concerned
Edit: I now turn my stereo up full bore with my custom made sub-woofer(350watts) turned up of an afternoon
Let's see how my "friendly" neighbours like that.
As if they don't break "laws" like speed limits and such-fucckers

In America, one has the right to bear arms (or arm bears , whichever). One also has the right to defend oneself in an attack that may or actual does cause bodily harm.
It should be that way everywhere. Also, I believe if I were in Australia and I got attacked, I would just have to take one for the team (i.e. do not pass go, do not collect $200).

If you are attacked in Australia you are only allowed to use equal force on the attacker,so if some one breaks into your house and you hold them up with a gun or hit them with a bar etc and they no weapons, then your on your merry way to lock up...It's fuked.
And Combustion weapons are Class E firearms same class as Flame throwers,Automatic Weapons,Rocket Launchers etc.
Pneumatic weapons are Class A weapons same class as BB guns Air Rifles etc.
They all have serious penalties if you are caught in possesion of one.

^^So do you mean if someone breaks into your house, you should leave and go break in theirs. jk Really, though, I guess you are supposed to run them off, right? If you run them off with a stick, would that classify as using a weapon, even though you never struck them? If that would be the case, it would be better just to not report the incident.

Haha I believe the robber was Maori from South Auckland, in other words, poor and stupid. He improvised.
I'm not saying all maori's are poor and stupid, just the ones from South Auckland.

no weapons not even frigging collectibles a mace that's a midage weapon to bash the armor of knights that is not at all effective for modern combat situations. They are pretty messed up the friggin law requires you to be a passiveist, thats not a free country at all

If you guys read the whole list there are some pretty lame things outlawed. Mace or pepper spray. I live in the middle of BFE (otherwise known as Iowa) and even the girls who go to Iowa State, probably one of the least high-crime college campuses in the world all have pepper spray. And a taser, I don't think you could kill someone with a taser if you had to, they shock the piss out of you though.
Funny story but around a month or so ago, we were having a barbeque and stuff and I brought out a few of my potato guns and we were having a good old time knocking back some suds and chucking some spuds and one of my neighbors called the cops on us. Cops show up and three minutes later I've got them shooting potatos. They loved it, turns out my neighbor made it sound like we shooting off shotguns or something.

Haha, that's awesome. I wish I could do that where I live, but I'm in the burbs, I'd put holes in a roof somewhere.williamfeldmann wrote:Funny story but around a month or so ago, we were having a barbeque and stuff and I brought out a few of my potato guns and we were having a good old time knocking back some suds and chucking some spuds and one of my neighbors called the cops on us. Shooting brick walls is fun.
The Spud just splatters, sending hundreds of bits of potato in all directions .
Potato guns can be let off in AUstralia, They will just say keep it on your property. Either that or be pooheads and just confiscate it from you.
