In my mind, that's rather like classifying a bat as a bird because it has wings and flies. Yes, it's fairly similar in how it all works, but it has something very different underlying it.
But whether or not you choose to see that as Christian values, the Constitution and Bill of Rights still only mention religion in an exclusionary fashion, so I have to firmly disagree with your statement that lists of religious quotes are "very appropriate".
