for the rear wheel, search for minibike brake,or some variation of that on ebay.there will be some units being sold for between $45 - $60.they have a drum brake, sprocket ,steel rim, pnumatic tire, and the brake lever and cable.they are bolted together, and much easier to install and setup

give me one diy go kart source that even mentions that? statistics beat all else.
and i have a looong list of diy go kart sources. 14 sites excluding some forums
also i've seen just as many online stores that sells engines and go kart parts at the same time, and non of them mentions side blow protection
and havent read a disaster post on any forum that mentions an engine shattering
the engine i have is a prize, $140 !! if you find a better price on a shiny nre honda knock off, call me.

Urbana check this out, i built a go-cart with BALLS!!! (if you haven't seen it). http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j246/ ... udfile.flv it's a Manco 1 seater, factory roll cage, 225cc Honda knock off engine. You have to step on the brakes to turn it! At 50mph, it's a killer ! ! !
did you get the bike at like a gerage sale? do u have a transmition, did you use a cahn or belt or driveshaft, what type of suspention dose it have (if any) how many cc was the engine and what brand? you used a monico frame, how much was the monico gokart andwhat modle is it and what engine did i have before u put the dirtbike egine in brand and hp

The bike was a junker,(i got it running). It has a standerd 5 speed built rite in like all basic dirt bikes. I used a 420 chain. The go cart has front saspention, (about 1 1/2" travel, factory equipted). 225cc's. It's a honda imation/knok off. The chasis is a Manco single seater model - 195-295, (don't quote me on the last 3 model numbers, it's the front 3 that are importent in this case). It had a Techumshe 5 HP with a ratio geared torq converter from factory.
If you take the time to study this intire post, you will learn alot from it, honest.

i already know what you mean perfectaly. that thing is awesome, i hae a kart but no suspention 5.5 hp techumseh 35 chain size no trans. centrifical cluch it reches 30 mph. i have an idea for a posible future go kart im going to build. im going to make a lightweight fram w/ full suspention and im going to use these electric bike wheels (there 600 watts each) im going to use 4 so it will be a 4 wheel drive electic gokart and shoud hit 20 - 25 mph (not very fast but it is electric and it is 4 wheel drive) the link for the website that sells the bike wheels is werelectified.com tell me what you think[/url]
