Ok everyone, I recently came up with a funny idea, and I want to try it out. My plan is to have a Power Wheels Jeep (aka Barbie Jeep) that we used to ride in when we were like 4 years old. Those electric powered plastic jeeps. Ok So what I want to do with it is, put in 2 more of the batterys that are in the jeep, then make it RC.

And when Im done making the Jeep RC Im going to make a RC combustion Cannon turret, to aim, and shoot the cannon

Here is a video of someone who made a barbie jeep RC

What do you guys think f the idea?

Thanks guys,

I think the idea is cool, but make the remote turret first

You could buy one of these very cheaply and lift the electronics from it.

I've always thought that this would be cool... Buy an old beater pickup. Replace the windows with clear lexan, or something that will resist impact well. Build a remotely-controlled turret, with a golfball gun mounted on it that is self-operated. (Loads, fills, and shoots all remotely. Fully automatic operation would be preferable.) Have your buddy control the gun while you drive. Then find a deserted field, some people with similar setups, and let the war begun!

Okay, that's a little out of most people's price range, and probably reality, but it'd be a lot of fun if you could do it! It's CannonCreator's idea on 'ROIDS!!!!!!!!!

Cannon, you dont know how much tinme ive put into plans for this. Well first off you will need a powerwheels (duh), a mamba max 5700 is nice, an esc for it, and some kind of radio/reciever. Expensive but fun. Maybe give it a mini lift kit and jump it. Those are my intentions with the one I might build. But dont buy a Team Associated radio and reciever. I have one and it sucks. Find a cheap traxxas and go for it. Otherwise find a new or used nice futaba.

It would be cool to take the battery and electronic motor out completely and replace them with a small 2-stroke. I've seen some smaller RC cars with these things for motors and they are kickass.

@jack: I had one of those. It was so much fun that I drove it until the tracks fell off (literally, now I can't play with it anymore).

Edit: Also, if you do make one of these things, do us a favor and loose the pink wheels. :)

From what though? You cant do it from much. And if you are familiar with the way nitro cars work then you know its gana be a lot of wiring and what not. The one thing is finding out how to rig it like a nitro. And the tranny would be hard.
