Hey spudchuckers, just thought i would share with you a visit i had this afternoon with the boys in blue (at least here in oz).
I was having a few well aimed shots in my backyard with my small combustion after work, went inside and listened to some music while sucking on a brown bottle and sorting my freshly made ammo.
Anywayz *knock knock* my missus gets the door, gets me, i get confronted with a male and female Law Enforcer.
"Hi were from *blah blah* area command and we have information that you have some sort of air rifle..."
"Yes i do, i will fetch it for you..
"i'll just come through"
"No just wait there if you want"

God damn, if he would have seen my ammo stash i would have been arrested as a terrorist.
Anyway i showed him the gun and he told me to dismantle it, i told him that i would dismantle it before sundown.. he warned that it is a criminal offence and there are heavy penalties.
I will unscrew the endcap just for him tonight(that's dismantling is it not?)
Lucky my Hybrid is under reconstruction

That got me thinking, i'm tempted to make a 'dummy' gun, like DWV PVC, ball valve, no guage etc, I wanna keep the expenses to a minimum :P

Just do some indoor shooting if you want to reduce noise that's what i do.
BTW, If I'd just been visited by the peelers I'd shoot outside un-silenced because you will get butt F*cked by the Cops for having one.

Damn nosy neighbours :x

Well, as long as you were firing on your own property and not using an actual firearm, they can't really do you for much, what exactly does Aussie law say about spudguns?

I email the police about pneumatic spud guns. They emailed me back saying they are not classified as firearms, but are prohibited weapons, according to the weapons prohibition act, "...PVC cannons".

EDIT: Thats in NSW
