jk, I don't even know what a freshman is :D
First year high school student. You guys dont do the whole, "stupid freshman" thing in NZ? BTW, just heard a pre-newyears gunshot outside.
I become a freshman next school term.
Nah, first year in college (high school) is third form, commonly referred to 'Turd form' by fourth formers but us seniors refer to them as 'Ronalds little helpers' or 'McDonald workers' as there uniform is similar to the McDonalds uniform.

Third form and fourth form are junior, fifth form to seventh form are senior, though fifth formers wear junior uniform.

Fifth form, also known as year 11 is the equivalent of 11th grade in America I think, or grade 11. :?

It just hit me, some spudders are older then my dad. Just seems weird that people same age as my dad could be on this forum.

Don't me to disrespect or anything, I just can't imagine my dad on a forum

I'm eighteen. I love it because now I can be out on the road at midnight and buy stuff like spray paint at the Home Depot and Wally-Mart, (even though I could just as easily buy it at the local hardware store with no problem).

Just finishin' up this last semester of my Senior year... with a bang. Tested into second semester of AP Calculus and got all my classes in to graduate, get TOPS Honors, and go to LSU. Also got a project planned for New Years, but I don't want to spoil the surprise for anybody by giving away any of the details... Just got to work out some minor "technical" features, (that require some extensive optimization formula crunching), and aesthetics, and I'll have it done. I just pray it's not raining tomorrow.

I figured most of our members would be distributed more heavily in the 13-18 year old region, because most "elderly", (i.e. 18+) members are veterans of the Spudtech forums, [like Freefall, Mr. Plow, DR, fullmetaljacket, (JSR), etc.]. The older people are just freaks of nature, but don't feel bad about it. Every system's got to have a few eccentricities.

Funny how I can't see my Dad on a forum like this, but I could see my Grandad. He's probably the reason why i'm doing what i'm doing now. Ever since I could walk we've been building stuff together in his garage.

Can't wait for your surprise mark, better be good :D

Bummer you can't buy spray paint at HD or Wal*mart until your 18. I can see why, but here you usually just get a strange look from the depressed middle aged employee's.

Can you drink at 18 in your state?

And what do you mean 'out on the road at midnight'?

Is that a stage in your drivers licence when you reach 18 your automatically allowed to drive at midnight?

22 here.

The reason you can't buy spray paint may not be what you expect. It's because stupid kids try to huff the stuff and get high, you can't buy JB Weld without being over 18 at Wal-Mart either. I didn't even know you could huff the stuff, but apparently you can.

Drinking age is 21 in the entire US, but it's not exactly hard to get some alcohol if you want it.

I expected that and tagging, but not with JB weld, surprising. I did buy some JB at Wal*Mart but I also had a boring conversation about LOTR and NZ with the cashier

Oh right, I thought some states it was 18. Bummer. Yeah i'd imagine it would be similar to NZ and Aussie where most parents buy their kids it until they get a fake ID or use someone elses.

We have the same deal where I live, but it's bcause we have a huge tagging problem so the city thought they could solve the problem by requiring people to be 18 for spray paint, despite the fact that the majority of gang members who buy spraypaint are adults.
And I think they may not sell you jb weld is because it can be used in vandelism acts, like glueing mail boxes shut or filling locks on cars with the stuff.

Hahaha, uh um I got to go out... and get some more uh JB...weld

JB weld is actually pretty easy to remove with a screw driver and hammer, could take a while with a car lock though.
