oh nice!

mind you tell us your lengths?

mine now has a 13" stroke/18" shaft (5" is inside the body) and a 30" body. total length is 50"

well i have a 24''x2'' compression chamber, my shaft makes a 18'' stroke leaving 6'' at the top for compression. the body of the stick is about 46''

ohh i see. interesting. does the 18" stroke feel weird?? my last design had an 18" stroke and i could barely get off the ground with 10psi precomp

here it is, its not very complicated, filmed and youtubed it. just to show it works..lol this is charged to 50psi.

yeah lest see!!

so i was reading the pentent for the vurtego, it says that you're suppose to pump it to only 15-50psi. . . . weird. cuz even with a super high ratio, which the vurtego does not have, that doesnt seem like enough to hop 5-7 feet.

so i actually calculated mine today and its 2.2-1 ratio and with a 50psi precompression, i can only get like 2 feet, but then again, im not good at pogo as i have not touched one since my old one broke years ago.

hey HDP, you got aim/msn or something?

That looks like it works or bounces a bit better than cwazies (no offence).
Very cool that you guys build these things so quick, Kudos.

^^ yeah i agree..lol @ nova, if i was a fat ass, i would have to precompress to like 100psi

Just add a valve and a air chamber at the handle and you're good to go

This is a GREAT IDEA I will try that this weekend and see if i can get the concept to work.

the concept will work for anyone, you just need to "configure" it, which i still havent reached the limit where the bounce is equal and set to my weight.

EDIT: add nice vid HDP, your cam is pretty bad..lol

oh sorry i meant to say i took it with my phone camera. btw i was wondering how having the pvc shaft at the bottom works. mine is half inch steel pipe, its heavy but im pretty confident in its strength.

lol no wonder, cuz i used my camera to take my vid.

ahh yours is a metal shaft eh? hmm interesting

well mine is 1" sch40 pvc, umm lets just say that if it was 18" long, and you didnt hit it right, you'd snap it. i have a 13.5" right now and its bendy if i dont land right. im planning to stick a wood dowel in it so stabalize it. i found one that fit, i just had no money today.

Good landings guys, lol! At least nobody crashed, i'm impressed. I've noticed that one most other you tube vids, that the body was bigger in diameter, looks like 4" to 6" in diameter. Those guys are getting massive air. I'm guessing it's safe to assume just like spud cannons, the bigger the chamber, the more power. Any thoughts on that assumtion?

well the vurtego pogo, has a 3" diameter compression chamber. so yeah im guessing that more volume equals more power if the ratios are the same (3-1 ratio)
