softening O rings

i have a WE 1911 gas airsoft pistol. it is probably one of the finest airsoft pistols on the market, but recently the magazine has been leaking. i took it apart, took out the fill valve, gave it an intense coating of silicone oil, then put it back together. (this was a major leak by the way) and it pretty much took care of the problem, but it seems like it only completely seals 75% of the time, if it doesnt seal i have to fill it back up. the problem lies with the sealing face. it works exactly like a check valve. the only thing i can think of to make it seal better is to somehow soften the O ring. i think i got kinda hard from the cold gas going into it. this O ring is super tiny, only about 1/16 inch wide, but thats what seals the valve and without it the entire mag is useless. other than an ultra heavy coat of oil, how else can i make it seal better?

Can you readily access o'rings? If so why not just buy a new one?

simply put, no, not of that size, its rediculously small. the O ring appears to be normal, it just im not sure why it doesnt seal. its more of a gasket than an O ring, but at the same time it looks more like an O ring than a gasket, if that makes sense.

Well it kinda does. To improve the seal on a break barrel airgun, what i did was remove the o'ring and placed a packer under where the o'ring sits. That was with one about the size of your little finger nail though. I suspect that it could not be done in this case - in short, your screwed, up sh!t creek without a paddle, stuck between a rock and a hard place, etc etc.
