So who felt that one today? Happened in southern Indiana but I sure could feel it up here near St.Louis. Some foundations and windows are broken around my area... we never have earthquakes and this is the first one I've ever felt so everyone is going CRAZY :compress:

Hehe... maybe you should make the most of the craze, convince everyone thats its the end of the world and loot some supplies from the local hardware stores. :D

When I was about 2 years old I slept through an earthquake. :?
Though I live in Australia, so we don't get them very much.

I sleep through earthquakes.

Even during the day.

Of course in the UK we don't get many but hey, the ones everyone else notices, I only read about

Had one a few weeks back in the UK. Nothing serious, but it took me a moment to work out exactly what was going on as they're so rare here.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

:)

Personally, I've heard a lot worse

Edit...
Now that I think about it I remember a strange earthquake-like event that a happened maybe 5-10 years ago. I was upstairs, probably playing some type of video game, and the house shook. Not like a rumble, just one "BOOM!" like a shockwave (there wasn't actually a "boom"). At first I just though the punching bag in the other room fell down, but it was fine and apparently other people in the neighborhood felt it too.

There never was any explanation or anything in the newspaper.

I live in VA, Didn't notice anything but for some strange reason I woke up early.

My favorite earthquake story I've got :

In the New Testament of the bible there's a story about a time that two of the disciples were in jail and the walls mysteriously collapsed and they walked out. (can't remember where but it's in there)

Shortly after I read about that, I saw a true news story on TV that there was recently a huge earthquake in Peru and they showed a huge modern prison where some of the walls collapsed and even the fences came apart and a bunch of the prisoners walked out!!!

It's kind of crazy when you read a story sounding far fetched and something exactly the same happens to a modern built prison!!!

BTW:
------Some good alcoholic beverages when spudders drink: Vodka( for obvious reasons), cheap beer(because some of the cans can be shot),
Or everclear 190 proof/ Bacardi 151 (can be used as fuel)-----------
Maybe I should do a poll.

A 17 year old guy got his pelvis crushed when the house's chimney fell through the roof straight ontop of him.

Expect MUCH MUCH MUCH worse in the future.

Your square in the death zone of the New Madrid Seismic Zone site of the strongest series of earth quakes in north american recorded history. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Madrid_Earthquake
