That's not an AK 47, that's the APS underwater assault rifle. Seriously... is every gun of a slightly soviet design automatically an AK47 in the minds of people?

wohoo, i was right!
on my current system i can only run Crysis on all high and highest resolution, and then i get only 25fps. that is the main reason i ordered new parts.

did you play with über lag or do you have a decent system? with Nvidia cards it would be simpler to get performance on crysis but i like AMD :D
I have a Nvidia 8800 GTS, it lets me run on mostly high settings with decent framerates.

Yup, your originality and creativeness sure beats the desktop that A-98 uses...

and that is what i get to, Crysis was already guessed.

guess no one notices this EDIT but i did not want to be a post whore, the point is that desktop on the liquid crystal display is something different from the actual physical desktop.
i suggest everyone post a picture or video of their corner where the spud-bucks are earned.

here is mine, a bad video but the guy that has commented wanted me to upload.

I agree with SpudFarm.

So, without further ado, here is my desktop. The rule with these things is that you can't clean it off. Thus, I left the Mountain Dew cans and coffee cups there. I felt really bad for people who would unsuspectingly open this page on anything less than dual T3 internet connections with 16GB DDR RAM and 8GB video memory, so click on the thumbnails to open the images.

It may seem like overkill, but it makes things much easier when doing things like working on web sites and graphics editing. Two CPU's running three monitors. Dual on the Vista PC, and one on the linux PC on the left.

The following is a composite screenshot I threw together. Middle screen was probably unnecessary, but oh well.

The PC on the far left is running Ubuntu core system, with X.Org X server for graphical interaction and Tom's Windows Manager. Bit cumbersome to take a screenshot from, but it is possible.

Anyways, that's my current desktop's state of disrepair. Post yours! Remember to post as is, no matter how many soda cans, dirty socks, cigarette butts, grimy tissues, etc. are on there.

Disregard the following obligatory post.

I'm only on a 98.7 MBit connection, and I survived. Oh wait... that's faster than dual T3 connections. My bad.

For the last few weeks, I've been using this drawing as my background. I might do a trawl of NASA's POTD site, pick up some more astronomy photos and go back to those for a while.
