So I just took apart an old boombox...

... and I want to know what parts to keep/sell. Any advice is appreciated! (It's a regular CD/Radio/Tapedeck)

Well if your throwing what you dont want away.

Deffinetely keep the eye. If its still good you can replace another nonworking one with it.

Umm possibly the speakers. There isnt too much else worth saving

Possibly the motor for the tape deck/CD player. Does the FM/AM reciever work? If so...make your own radio.

There are also probably a bunch of capacitors in there worth keeping.

transformer from mains and ferrite rod/core used in a coil for tuning.

Deconstruct the main parts of it and find a storage box in which to keep them. They will be basically worthless to try to sell...hold on to them for future projects.

Yeah, that's what I had in mind for the casing :D

I was thinking I would keep the capacitors, the laser, and the motors, maybe the rest of the circuit board for the resistors. (I don't know what's useful to save and what's not, as I know little about electronics :lol: )
