Hey, waz up. I have a question; does anyone know how to create a home-made smokebomb that creates a whole bunch of smoke?

I would really appreciate any help with my dileama (if that's how you spell it)...

ping pong balls make a lot of smoke if you burn them and black powder also does the trick

mix 60% potassium nitrate and 40% sugar. If you melt them together being careful it doent get too hot to ignite you can actually form smoke bombs and let them dry with fuses in them. Otherwise you can just mix them together dry and light it. I have heard you can buy potassium nitrate at pharmacys and stuff but we just order it off ebay. its very amusing to play with

You can mix potassium nitrate with pretty much anything close to being flammable, and anything that is mostly sugar. I made some with potassium nitrate and pixy stix, it and flour, just experimenting. Even potato chips work.

if u want potassium nitrate go to home depot and buy some grants stump remover it comes in one pound bottles. the only catch is that you should grind it up for better smoke.

Thanks for the help; I intend to get to work on making sum soon. However, isnt there the danger of overheating the potassium nitrate when mixing it with the sugar, causing a possibly dangerous reaction? Like, exploding in my face?

If anyone else is intrested, I also found a really good site:

Yes there is actually a fairly high risk. You need to use something like a hot plate, not an open flame, and be VERY VERY careful about it. Do it outside, away from anything that can burn, and try to use a long spoon and maybe some potholders.

Also be careful when you use it. I don't know if you watched my video on bcvids but our endcap blew off like a bullet. A few weeks ago a 2lb mix in a thin metal container was blown apart and flew up my hill like a rocket. This mix burns very hot, be careful.

I made a holder thing out of a coat hanger and a half of a can once and tried to heat it with a blowtorch. Needless to say it lit on fire, but I kept trying over and over. If you add some water to it it helps a little, but I still had to get a haircut because I singed most of the front of my hair. Find a hot plate and use that.
