Ok, on my birthday(march 4th), I will be buying a pocket bike. I will be getting roughly $250, and already have $85. I am thinking of buying a Cagllari($240*), GP MX3($260*), Blade($300*), or a Raptor($300*). They are all nice bikes, and at a reasonable price. I would like your opinion on which one I should get. I will be getting it from minipocketrockets.com(http://minipocketrockets.com/)

*Shipping included in price

Cagllari- http://minipocketrockets.com/cagllari-pocket-rocket/

GP MX3- http://minipocketrockets.com/mx3-pocketbike/

Blade- http://minipocketrockets.com/blade-pocketbikes/

Raptor- http://minipocketrockets.com/raptor-mini-bike/

Also, what color do you think is nicest?

I've never understood the fascination with these things. :?

Where can you legally ride the thing?

Up here, people buy them, and are then surprised when the police give them tickets for operating an un-registered motor vehicle, operating an un-insured motor vehicle, operating an off-highway vehicle within city limits, etc.

It's about a $3000 hit if you don't catch any breaks.

Maybe things are different in Nevada?

My .02;

Keep saving your money and buy something at least marginally useful. (Scooter, bicycle, etc.)

The callagari is on sale for $179:)
I would save half of your money and use the other half for splurging.

I would go with with the callagari. because it is a two stroke. Also because it is the cheapest also two strokes brake down as easily as four strokes.

Ckman, all of them are 2 stroke. And gippetto, I can race them at a few kart tracks around here, my freind races there, and I already have a scooter, bike, skates, skateboard, electric scooter, etc. And I am not aloud to use any of it for spudding, or any of my projects because my dad says it is a wast of money so he wont let me do it, only spare parts guns/projects from now on, and personally, I am leaning towards the Blade(black). The cagllari is my 4th, gp mx3 is my 3rd, and raptor is my second.

I say buy none. You will lose your fascination with them. I say buy something that will last. You should save up for one Berkshire Hathaway share =)

I had one three years from now, when i was 17. It was fun, my little brother and I had a lot of fun, but eventually, it broke down. I should've saved the motor but i sold it online....
You will have a lot of fun moments on these, your trade of falls and bruises, but a few months after you buy it, it'll seem too small for you, and you'll want a bigger one...
I now have a CRZ 125cc dirt bike XD lots of fun!

I tried buying one of these, they are SO badly made, mine fell apart and is now collecting rust in the garage. I agree with gippeto, buy like a scooter or something that you can actually use.

I owned the blade when i was 12. It was fun but impractical. I'd just buy a dirt bike.

Go-Kart tracks; they have dates specifically for pocket bikes out by me; It's a fun, cheap entry level motorsport.
Oops, blind beat me to that point... 8)
Pocket bikes are fun, but they can get uncomfortable for older guys like me.

I like scooters better; you don't have to bend over too far to ride them!

Here's My Li'l Green Twin-Mill. It started out as a razor e300, I modded it and added a 2nd motor and controller for a full 500 Watts through identical 24volt systems. She flies! sort of my pit bike; I sometimes let my oldest boy ride it too...

OK, size isn't a problem(4'9", 65-70 lbs). I can fit quite comfortably on one(rode one a few times). And about the maintenance/repairs, I am really good with mechanics so that is no problem, I love working on stuff like that. And Big-E, that is a nice scooter, about how many MPH? And I think I will be going with the Cagllari, but getting the performance package, and some more upgrades. Performance package comes with Race tuned exhaust, NKG spark plug, High flow air filter, and Better clutch springs.

The engine isn't a lot more than a nice whippersnipper/weedwhacker motor.. I think you could knock up a smaller version of that electric go kart with one and that much money..

But anyway, I like the cagllari.. You'll have fun with it. Mind the police though..

Edit: http://www.vintageprojects.com/mini-bik ... -bike.html

Just spruce up the power a little..
