ahhhhh good old roid rage,I remember my mate i was working with at a job site ,he was welding an arrangement of copper pipes next to a door frame when the builder walked in and knocked over his pipe work,he got a small minor burn from the copper touching his skin so he decided to deck the forman, the next day he got fired for loosing his temper..
keep in mind that this guy is 5ft tall and weighs 90kg,small man sindrone or maybe not so much

Fore, just a question..what's with you and welding copper?

Question for you sling shot enthusiasts; It appears there are 1/4 and 5/16 inch ammo available for slingshots. At least in the US.

Do you know the exact dimensions and weight of each ball?
If you could measure with a caliper or micrometer it would be appreciated.

How consistent is the diameter and weight between them? Variability.

I am considering them as a projectile for a pneumatic design. Possibly auto or at least semi-auto.

Finally

I don't use small balls like that, my smallest ones are 9,5 mm (.38) and those weigh 3 Gramms (48 grains).

Another possibility:

2 holes about 1/4" apart at each end of the pouch.

Place finishing nail or a small wood dowel between the holes and wrap the leather around the nail.

The string will hold it tight.

The shear strength of the nail/dowel, the double leather thickness, and the full width of the leather pouch should be able to withstand any force we would care to apply.

I may consider that size if available in US.

9,5 mm = .3740 inches or almost 3/8 which is .3750 inches. or 9,525 mm.

Do they actually measure 9,50 mm or .380 inches which is 9,652 mm?

Need for barrel dimensioning.
