I managed to upload the code for the bluetooth ignitor with no problems whatsoever - easier than I thought

lol but I messed up anyway - I forgot to order a voltage regulator... though I guess I can find something suitable on boards I salvaged from various appliances

The ATtiny85 is an awesome little IC. There's no better choice when you need some small, disposable intelligence in your project.
Yup they are so cheap and small they could fit inside ammo :D

Jsr I meant a programable round that can deploy a parachute X seconds after leaving the barrel... you know for our kiwi procrastinator

You got really paranoid since you built that meth lab in your basem...
oh damn forgot it was a secret

Sure you did ;)

The only difference between that and what I do for a living is that we make white powder which the government is happy to tax ;)

nahh actually I did...

no experience with magic powder nor time to experiment with it... anyway UAVs are much more capable than our humble spudguns - so anyone using spudguns for something uhmm sinister would be a retard

I might have to quit SpudFiles... all this talk of timers and bluetooth and cell phones.

Remember guys, knowledge is illegal. We all should have joined the other kids playing football and baseball... but no, we just had to launch potatoes instead.

Speaking of retards... maybe instead of a parachute:

Spring loaded drag thingies held in place by some fishing line, touching a hot wire connected to a circuit including a timer that is activated by an accelerometer, which activates the thingies shortly before predicted impact...

that's pretty much what I thought the only difference is that I wanted to sense apogee and deploy it at that time and then let that lazy kiwi do some math and calculate max distance

ohh and speaking of retards wouldn't a glow plug + combustible mix work ok to deploy a parachute ?

Even with a bit of wind though it would drift quite a bit. What I would favour is something that simply stops it from burying itself into a layer of paleolithic fossils :)

Yes, but non-pyrotechnic means are favoured :)

Found a new hobby- long range air-pistol shooting :D

Fitted my Bauer 3-9x42 AO to my Weihrauch HW40PCA, now shooting scho-ka-kola tin lids from 30-50 meters with ease

HAHA awesome!

I remember shooting a 55 gallon drum 100 metres away with my HW45, you basically shoot like this :D

On another note, saw this:

A big bore pneumatic shooting say soup tins full of concrete would have been perfect as a "remote sledgehammer" getting the job done and leaving the people a safe distance away...

:D They busted the myth of Mythbusters actually busting myths too:

Anyway..
I always wondered why they never tried a pneumatic in the magic ice bullet myth.
I don't think they tried too hard on that one.

I watched the homemade shells video where they put all sorts of random stuff in as projectiles...and was surprised to see that my first sawed-off was a pretty good cheap alternative to the real thing... :D

The targets and various ammo gives a good impression of the power of the shell itself..
