Crossbow I made, the Stock is made out of two piece of pine glued together and shaped it with a angle grinder along with hand sanding. The bow is made out of a old leaf spring. Wish I could tell you the pull strength but I have no idea... I plan on making a new stronger bow for it since the one I made was more of a test to see if it works. Very little knowledge of crossbows so input would be great on things I should change or what to do next when redoing the bow? Some problems I have right now is one not having proper crossbow bolts along with using a string from a kids bow so it's been stretching allot and has snapped so I got to get to a sporting goods store and get a stronger bow string. Oh the last picture is just for giggles those are the two swords I made. The one picture were its looking down the front of the gun I have no idea why the trigger piece looks so uncentered it is centered so must be the camera?

Nicely done, it would certainly benefit from better string and a bit of preload though.

I made a crossbow too, it had a winch on the back and a steel wire 4mm thick as the string, unfortunately a trigger capable of easy fire and 800lbs+ of force couldn't be found

There you go:

Very smooth on the string, it just folds out of the way.

You can play with dimensions ( long trigger, small roller) to up the capacity.

Make it in steel and it can hold whatever force you'll get out of any crossbow.

I have used this principle on numerous occasions in some form or another.
Even the trigger system on Old Shatterhand works like this. The roller being a hammer..

The roller doesn't have to be round , but it is the most simplified version.

I used it on a mechanical marblegun, wich I had to cock with all my strength during the time I was a competative bodybuilder.. still very smooth triggerpull.

edit:
Although I had flipped it around to be bullpup..( included diagram)
This idea enabled a quick draw, locking in the string in a single pull.
A leaf spring holds the arrow in place.
Important note with this design, all moving parts MUST me smooth and could use some teflon spray from time to time.
