Ink color has no race. If I don't paint my house black, does that make me a racist? If a black man lives in a white house, does that make him a racist?

I think if you need to seek the opinions of others on a public forum rather than rely on your own judgement, you shouldn't do it. After all you'll be the one wearing it......forever.

I have several tattoos, and I do not regret any of them. If you get one, dont get initials and It should be something between you and your son if you are getting it for him. I say wait a while till he gets a little older so it could be something he can appreciate as much as you. @ warhead the reason the tattoos on the old people look like shitt is because they were done with home made ink and a sewing needle probably. Ink and guns have well advanced from 50 years ago.

Info on Tattoos. Some early fade is from them being too shallow. Shallow ones look bright, colorful, and sharp. Deeper ones fade less but look duller, less colorful, and less sharp at first.

Well, there's the problem. Instead of a pneumatic grinder he should have use a Cheese Grater. What will he do next? Perhaps some Bondo and Primer?

Age and stage man. You will see. I am guessing you are about 30 or so, wait about 30 more years. My uncle has one on his ankle, and his skin has started stretching alot and it looks horrible now.

Did you ask your uncle if it was professionally done? Tattoos will fade after time, and possibly stretch, but I have never seen one that was done professionally look that bad after time. Most artists will re-do the tat if it fades dramatically. That is all. Getting a tat depends on the type of person you are and if you like them or do not like them. If you are worried about what others will think of your tat, then you have no business getting one in the first place!!
