I was glueing a bushing into a t today and it only went in like half way. Is it still safe to use. and there is the elbow in the pic below to that isnt glued in all the way

The elbow is the result of using a piece of connecting pipe that was too long. Next time measure before cutting and gluing.

The bushing probably didn't fit into the tee all the way because it's glued into a shallow DWV (bad) fitting.

Measure carefully, use fittings marked "NSF-pw," and do a search for an online solvent welding tutorial.

Actually they are all nfs ow and the elbow was a street elbow

Its a slip fitting, the elbow. Your only off it seems like a 1/4 inch or less so let it dry and prime and glue it again just to be safe and you should be all set.

The top photo is a bushing. Looks like a pressure rated bushing in a thinwall T with a shallow socket. Look inside the T to see if the bushing reached the bottom of the socket on the T.

If non pressure rated parts were used, the finished product is not rated for pressure.

Actually I tried that with a wrench and nothing, so I just rebuilt it instead of bothering with trying to get it off.

lol you can cut them off and then cut a slit on the inside use a chisle to lift the edge then it will roll the rest off, just be sure to cut the tee.

It happened again. Only this time it's three inch PVC and it's only hanging out a little bit, like a 1/4inch. Should I still use it.

If its a little big and wont go in all the way cut it.... Your gluing area wont change....

Looks like your getting some 'push out'. These fittings are tapered and if you don't use enough primer and cement as SB15 said and then hold the fittings together tightly for a good minute they will slowly push themselves a part.
