Well with the release of Spud Files version 7.0, we are presented with a well functioning flash chat. Now we are confronted with the task to organize a weekly chat.

Essentially, what would be the best time for you to participate in weekly forum wide chat. Mind you, this is based off US time. This whole issue of time has made me consider possibly having different chats for 'clans' or time zones. Although Ill leave that issue for a later point in time, as the current will be discussed at the convenience of US based users. Majority wins.
:-p

As to the rules, and how to conduct yourself.
- One should abide by current forum rules
- Use the correct 'sub-chat' to conduct your chatting. We would encourage you to participate in the 'spud-related' chat for the weekly based chats.
- Turn your audio device on, and use a sound on 'received' messages. Since this is within your browser, it will not flash the window like the common IM services.

While I both want to keep this thread under a page, yet receive your input, I will strictly moderate this thread. Do not worry, all input will be considered, and possibly noted. So do not be offended, or shy to post your thoughts, even if they wind up getting deleted. Well we are awaiting you input!

MrCrowley:
- All nights work, but Saturday night would be best.

Insomniac:
- My father uses the computer, so it largely depends on when he is on the computer. So a set time would not best suit me, although I will check the chat on log-in to see if anyone is in there.

[Check this thread at a frequent, as it will be edited on a regular basis.]

This ain’t going to work, when it’s 05:00 here in NC, its 04:00 in Arkansas. We should use GMT, that way everybody’ll know what time to be on-line. Personally Friday night would be the best for me, all I do then I watch star-gate and dogfights on TV and serf the net, mainly Spudfiles,

AudioMan, I obviously left out weekday mornings for a reason. Most of us have school.

I didn't impose a specific time as I was trying to get a general feel as to what times would work. I intended for specific times to be discussed at a later time. Obviously the time in one 'time zone' differs from that of another. I'm not that stupid.

I'm quite surprised that Saturday is trailing with 7 votes, don't most of you hang out on Saturday/ Friday night?

Pimpmann, what I meant by “05:00 here 04:00 there” was the difference in time zones (bad example sorry) like in Mr. Crowley case (or anybody from the Oz {it is the Oz right?}) not every body I’ll be here at the same time, it won’t even be the same day. But if we use GMT everyone will be here at the same time. PCguy could put a clock at the top of the page set for GMT that way everyone will know what time it is. I think this whole thing would run a lot smoother if we used GMT instead of all the time zone conversions. And I didn’t mean to insult you, sorry.
