I have a few freinds who hunt and they use handguns and what not, They gave me some bullets but I don't have a gun. So I pretty much want the gun powder. Can I use plyers to disaseble the bullet?

Will I need to use sufficient force or will it be sorta easy?

It depends on the bullet.
What type of bullets are we talking about? 9mm, .22shorts?
Unless you have a lot of bullets/time I wouldnt think it would be worth it.

Obviously, keep the slug facing away from you when you pull it out.
If a .22 round explodes on you, it probably won't be lethal, but it will at least puncture your skin.

Lol, Well I am not sure with this bullet talk but they are very very very small like as thin as a bic pen and probably like an inch.

First off, what state do you live in?Second, check the laws.
Most of the time you can walk into a sporting goods store and buy the powder.Or get it off the internet. But don't disassemble a bullet. For the powder you get it's not worth it.If you want either the bullet or powder just order the stuff off a reloading website.

If you take Shownomercy's advice make sure it's in a gun first.

Dang man[to snm(gotta love acronyms)],if trying to take apart a bullet and being a complete novice isn't bad enough. You've already got him trying to blow himself up.Dang you are sadistic. And I think its kinda funny in a morbid way. :D

Bottom line don't tap on the primer, unless of course you feel like picking brass out of yourself.

Well to be perfectly pessimistic. Are you saying now that you are not credible source of information. If so should the mods ban you :?:

I'm just messing around. But you have a good point.Whenever using explosives of some kind you should take time to read up on the subject.Or get help from an experienced friend.

It won't detonate unless you strike the primer at the bottom. A pair of pliers, a vice and some cojones should suffice.

don't expect the powder to explode with a bang if you burn it in the open, it needs to be very tightly compressed to cause an explosion.
