This is my favorite picture (and cannon) of all time.
The explosion seen was a 280mm nuclear shell with a yield of 15 Kilotons.
The shot was conducted during Operation Upshot Knothole at a test site in Nevada on May 25, 1953.

Well that was probably atomic Annie. I'm not really sure if this would fall under the exploding projectiles category or not. You guys tell me.

Not trying to spam. I figured it's cannon related, and people here would appreciate it. I would like to see the video too. :D

Edit: Mr. Crowley, are we allowed to have picture signatures here? It seems like very few people do it, and if it's generally considered irritating I could disable it.

Yeah just check the rules to make sure yours is within the pixel size limit.

hmm why are the camera's not affected by the after shock? seriously wouldn't they get knocked over or stop working?

Its over 7 miles away. They were too far. Im not sure about the ones that are in the blast. I have no idea. I guess they only got seconds of fortage before destructing themselves?

but wouldn't the tape have been destroyed? it just seems very unlikely that a video camera would survive a nuclear blast. i mean even video cameras of our time don't survive a flash powder explosion... just seems very unlikely for them cameras to survive...

the EMP would fry them even if they survived physically.
at the very least it would wipe the footage!!!
they probably had the ones 7 miles away heavily shielded.
and yes this would fall under exploding projectiles i would say but i dont mind if it stays!!

Davey Crockett they called it they didn't use it because its range was 12 miles and the fallout range was 13 miles that doesn't work http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Crock ... ar_device)

Who cares, it's not like one of us could duplicate one of those anyway...
