Here is why I haven't been online much in the past... month +.

http://www.theopia.com/3500.MOV

:P

That is my 3.5L V6 in a 96 Grand Prix. Originally it had a 3.1L V6, but I got the engine that comes in the new Pontiac G6, cammed it, had custom pushrods made, comp cams valve springs, and headers (plus a ton of other little custom crap I have made). This has been a MASSIVE project and a TON of work to get all of this done. It took 10x as long for me to do it as well since I have never done anything quite like this before.

I'll post more info later... I'll also post cam specs and such if anyone wants it.

It is so much louder than the video makes it seem because I am running open headers with a fairly good cam.

But really, I'd like to see some pictures since I can't watch the video :)

Oh dang, that's nice. I love that sound. That's how a car should sound, nice low rumble, not sounding like a whiny crotch rocket. So that's the grand prize in the next cannon competition right?

People actually don't donate that much

I appreciate all who donate, however donations do come few and far between.

All of this money is from me working full time all summer.

Hell, while your at it might as well throw a driveline in it and make it a true drag car...Just kidding

I respect you for being abitious enough to tackle a project of this magnatude. I quiver in fear if an engine this is turned side ways. And later model cars are too complicated for me. All the vehicals I have worked on I could easilly crawl in under the hood and still have room.
This car could barely fit a hand in an open crevise.

I had trouble loading the page on theopia so I apoligise if this has already been stated. Have you been to a dyno yet? WHAT IS YOUR GOAL FOR THIS CAR (sorry caps)are you going to race it or just street it? Have you thaught of any cool power adders? I.E. Blower, Nitrus oxide, Turbo charger (<my personal favorite, that whistle just gives me the chills. I also Drive a diesel, maybe that is why) I dont really like the idea of nitrus, but hey, its your car.

Again, neat pony swap (as my friends call it) and keep us posted

Nice job, everything looks like it's in it's proper place. Did you upgrade the onboard computer/chip as well?
I don't know if you remember but i sent you a link to Summit Racing web page with chip sets. It don't matter how big/strong/exspensive or flashy, it's has to accelarate smothly from idle to full throttle!
That comes down to proper setup and tuning, in your case more so proper setup, face it, theres not much tuning to be done here compaired to my 88 van.
20.3 MB movie file, dail up be warned.

nice. but why?

make it rear wheel wheel drive, or at least put a big-ass cadilac engine and front wheel drive assembly in it.

I deffenently admire your work, it'll be quite a sleeper (for a f-w drive).

people wont know what hit them.

Why? Because everyone gets some old RWD car with a super popular V8 that everyone and their grandma can make fast. I don't like doing what everyone else does.

Amen to that. But for me some V8 muscle or a nice GTO or Monaro suits me quite well. My first car should be either a Holden Kingswood ute or a Holden Statesman. Look em up. But you have a really nice FWD PCGUY. First time Ive ever said that to anyone
