Howdy Mate!!! Yeah they are a bit hard to get your hands on, i usually get the pop in rubber schrader valves, i just say i need it for a science project. There was this one time i went into my local bridgestone tire shop, and asked for 2 rubber ones, he goes what for? so i said science project, and then he said to me "what are you installing it into" so i said PVC (which i was) he goes these are no good for you, goes to the back of the shop opens this draw, and pulls out 2 metal schrader valves with rubber seals, (they were brand new) and he gave me 2 for free!!!

That was my day, free metal tire valves, got a metre of 2" pressure pipe for the price of DWV :D (guy put it in wrong) an i got alot of other cheap and free stuff!!

Yeah so head down to your local tire shops, if there is a bridgestone place ask them, say its for a school project or make up a reasonable excuse!!

BTW it was threaded, heres some pics of it:

If you have a local ace hardware store you can go on there web site and order them to be delivered to the store, the place I usually get mine is Mcmaster.com, they have just about everything. They have a couple of different sizes, I think they have 1/8" and 1/4'' npt pipe fittings.

I buy mine from a shop called the pump house although if you go to any shop that sells and repairs pumps they should have them. They are 1/8" NPT.

Edit: When I say pump shop I meen water pumps.
In epoxy we trust.

thurso i'll try bridgstone and my friends neighbor owns it (the three of us all shoot spud guns) so i won't even need en exuse.

wannabie i think theres a water pump and irrigations shop near me i'll check it out

if i get desperate i'll order one but i'll more likely just use a pop in rubber one if brigestone doesen't have them

My Dad used to own a Mitre10 and he said the Mitre10 company sent some lucky SOB's over to America to replicate a Home Depot store and call it Mitre 10 Mega, hence the orange colour of the store and the big American size, pity they didn't bother to replicate the prices.

Go to a store that deals in Mag and Alloy wheels for performance cars. They use those metal ones with the nuts to screw into some types of mags or something.
