Roll it on the floor till its straight. A hard floor, like concrete or wood, not carpet.

If you are dealing with copper that is the easiest way, just don't put a lot of pressure on it or you will have a flat barrel.

If you have another metal, you will need heat and it will be much much harder to do. Although aluminum might straighten out pretty easy.

Yea... PVC doesn't really straighten unless you heat it up, but I woldn't trust it afterward.

Why don't you heat it up so it gets soft, then sleeve some hard copper pipe (straight, of course) into it. That would make it straight and strengthen it at the same time.

At that point, just use the copper.

i don't have any copper pipe... so u think that heating then sticking it inanother pipe would work? i would probably not keep it in the pipe because then it wouldn't fit in my breech loading system.

It may be easier or harder. If he already has the cannon constructed, he can still use the same fittings by sleeving the pipe and he won't have to solder the copper to an adapter. On the other hand, if the cannon is not constructed, or the barrel is attached by a threaded fitting, it may be easier just to use the copper with an adapter.

Another though would be to heat up your pipe, then use a dowel or metal rod to push down the barrel. Allow it to cool, then remove the rod / stick. It should be straight then.

If you do this, make sure the rod or dowel is lubed well so it comes out the barrel with ease.

No, as long as it's not cellcore, heating it up to bend it wont alter it's pressure rating...much. You could use a heat gun, or go with my ghetto blowtorch-angle iron approach for a heater.
