i'm building a 6mm sniper and i want to know some performance figuers so i can adapt my design to get the best performance.

a 1/2" qev, 80cm 6mm barrel, 20cm 15mm chamber, 1/4" blowgun pilot, pressure of 250psi, shooting a .43g airsoft bb (6mm).

opps forgot to add could you also put through the same setup but at 300psi.

thanks.

 thats news to me  my dad wont let me download it because my mum has work on the computor and my sister accidentally gave the computor a virus a few months ago so my dad is reluctant to download anything that could screw the computor up again even though ggdt is perfectly safe.

He doesn't have to know ;)
You should get AV/AS software that isn't norton and a decent firewall like comodo or zonealarm.

The results are something you probably wouldn't want to shoot at your friends. 900 fps with 250psi and 950 with 300.

 :D  i will work out roughly how far it will shoot in the morning, imagine the power with an air rifle pellet  and could you please put the same setup through with a .20g bb at 250psi. thanks.

According to the EBC, it'll go about 300 ft when shooting level.

sounds about right, according to a tool i found it will shoot ~450ft before hitting the ground, i'm hoping to be able to shoot 300ft accuratly with a scope of course

Where did you get EBC figures for a QEV?
I've been looking all over for 3/4" GGDT figures for an American QEV.

A bit unrealistic in my opinion - it's hard to hit a target at 300 feet with this setup firing 1 gram 0.22 pellets at 900 feet per second.

I think you should be thinking in terms of 12 ft/lb air rifle ranges, ie less than 150 feet. In order to reach 300 feet you'll be aiming several feet above your target with the trajectory of a howitzer, not to mention the effect of the wind on light projectiles at that distance.

I dissagree, there are plenty of airsoft snipers that can do that just fine. I think he needs a hopup. How to do that within 6mm without purchasing a hopup barrel i'm not sure though.

EDIT: I also think that a 1/2" QEV is unnecessarily large. Thepopo did some testing with a 1/8" QEV, a 1 1/2" 3/4" nipple for an airchamber, a 509mm deepfire tightbore barrel, and a .25g ksc bb. It went through the top of a popcan and out the bottom at point blank. According to this test,

http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/a ... ulletID=34

I think that he should be getting 650=fps... So yeah, you don't need that large of a QEV...

EDIT EDIT: Oh crud, it was a .25.... Darn, popo needs to try it with a .20...

You would have to be firing on a windless day, but yeah it could be done with a lot of patience.

Edit- I don't think it could be done with airsoft bb's.

Have you ever tried shooting at a target beyond the length of your bedroom? What sort of an airsoft sniper can shoot a BB fast enough to reliably hit a 1 foot square target at 300 feet and still be safe to use in an airsoft game?
