Cardboard Burst Disk

Does carboard holf air if it's in a union, or any carboard like material?

I don't know if it would work or not but you could take some plastic wrap and put that over it and that would make a seal.

I wouldn't think so, cardboard is porous. I'd just go with soda can material if i were you, be a lot easier

Packing tape or duct tape works well for smaller calibers (up to say 3/4 inch)

I've use one layer of duct tape in a 3/4" union with a 3/4" barrel. Usually bursts at 90 psi.

I doubt cardboard would burst well also, i'd imagine it would rip limiting flow.

I use one layer of ordinary office tape in my 6mm burst disc, it fails at over 350 psi :D

I want to say most cardboard is porous. Now, they do have sealed cardboard used to hold things like oil and such, but even it starts to leak if exposed to fluid, (hydrostatic pressure), for long.

yeah get a tote from the post office made out of corrugates plastic that'd take a lot of pressure i bet, hell you might even have to make a failure point in one of them
