I have been looking on the internet for a larger sized QEV and so far have yet to find any. Where do you guys normally get them? I looked on ebay but all they had were valves from IONs. I really want a 1 inch one. Thanks

Ions...paintballs low point. I have seen a 1inch qev, and will see if I can find it in my history online.
I read about some here.

Ok cancel that, lost my wallet and its dark. Anyway, would a 3/4 QEV outperform a 1 inch modded sprinkler valve?

Well since I am saving for a home theater system as of now, I will have to pass on that and just get the 3/4 inch one.

its the same in the uk, 1" QEVs are ~£80 wheras 3/4" are under £20 which is really annoying... a 1" qev cannon would have so much power

Surface of flow:
2*pi*r*r
1" QEV: 2*pi*0.5*0.5 = 1,57 square inch
3/4" QEV: 2*pi*3/8*3/8 = 0,88 square inch
dual 3/4" QEVs: 0,88 * 2 = 1,77 square inch
1,77 > 1,57
two 3/4" QEV's have more flow then a 1"
and since 80>(2*20) it is a wise thing.

yeah but i prefer the look f single valve cannons... althought i probably will end up doing that at some point.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:buy two 3/4" QEVs thenALIHISGREAT wrote:its the same in the uk, 1" QEVs are ~£80 wheras 3/4" are under £20 which is really annoying... a 1" qev cannon would have so much power
The jump from 3/4" to 1" is incredible.
I don't know what it is, lower demand or some fiendish manufacturing issue but the price always takes a godawfully huge hike in the few cases where 1" QEV's are being sold.

When including elbows and a tee flow restriction two 3/4 QEVs should equal a 1" QEV as concluded out of my calculations.
I am not telling from experience but I estimate by the calculations 2x 3/4" QEVs will substitute a 1".

Maybe you could make a 1" qev which would be similar to a piston valve but you would use a diaphgram-ish piston and replicate a standard qev design... it can't be that hard
