Airsoft/paintball grenade

Not as much of a cannon as it is a grenade. I cant remember how long ago it was when I think PVC arsenal 17 brought about the pneumatic mine, and now I think I have greatly improved on that concept. My version is a 1in air tank
4in long with a 1/2 in gate valve, attached to a 1/2 in union. Will it work?
Basicly, you pressurize the tank and carry it around or w/e, then when your ready to throw it, you open the gate valve a little bit, depending on how fast you want it to burst, and then you throw it. There are airsoft bb's on top of the burst disk with tissue on top of that. Do u get it now?

Ahhhh yes yes I do get it. So your going to throw a pressurized PVC chamber ? Well it will give the enemy added incentive to run fast.

so air slowly leaks towrds the burst disk? but wont the impact break the presurized pvc, and when or if it burst wont it just shoot on floor it wont go in every direction.

these would be more effective.

I designed (a while ago) a "mortar" type of launcher with presserized "grenades" similar to that one. i wouldn't dare use it in a paintball/airsoft game because it would produce PVC shrapnel.

So back to the topic.. There are two only problem i see with this design: PVC shrapnel  and the "grenade" would not blast out in the disered direction.

nope , when stepped on the plunger punctures the 12 gram co2 and paint sprays out.

I like the look of those paint grenades, could you explain to me how they do not squirt everywere when you pull the pin.I've never seen these before as I live in Aus and paintball is illegal.

And what are those green things next to your gun? They look like some type of paint trip wire mine, am I even close?

sorry but paintball is not illegal in australia, there are many fields all over aus that have regular games. they have teams , leagues and all, paintball is very popular in aus. it is very controlled but not illegal..

when you pull the pin on the grenade the white plastic washer holds the tube closed until you throw it and it hits something, where the pressure of the paint and force of impact cause the washer to popoff and the end off the tube flails around spraying paint. they work very well and are realy effective when used in games.

and you are indeed correct , the green things are tripwire mines and are also very effective

@Acdcmonkey1991, the design of your grenade is interesting but would not be allowed to be used on a field as throwing it could hurt someone if they were hit with it , it could possibly be an effective mine or boobytrap if you could devise a trigger for it.

Well you see, I have made all sorts of remote detonated/tripwire/mine designs, but for the past 2 months my holy grail has been a cheap, reliable, and well working grenade that sprays airsoft bbs. anyone have any suggestions? This is a hard topic
