I need to know a ballpark pressure that 2 layers of aluminum foil will burst at. Would do it myself, but parents complain, and its cold and dark outside. If anyone could supply a table of pressures and layers of foil that'd be cool too! :D

OK dude, foil doesn't just burst at certain pressures. It depends on the surface area the pressure is acting on. So the burst pressure depends on the size of your union.

Sorry, I didn't even think of that. :D It's in a 3/4 " SCH 80 union.

are you using 12 gram co2 as the air source?

Nope, just a good ol' bike pump!

well, to put it straight, we have no clue. This is the kind of thing you have to test for yourself. juts start with one layer and add more until you reach the pressure you're happy with.

also keep in mind the two different thickneses of foil, there is regular foil and heavy duty foil , they will have 2 different burst pressures.
