The barrel is probably 1" SDR21 which does fit .5" fittings fairly well. Also nice job on the cannon, I would try to springload the ball valve because of your set up.

I think you did see that right
Nice cannon, apart from the accuracy stealing ball valve!
I like the barrel

Don't let it get wet
Otherwise it certainly seems to be working out fine.

Don't let it get wet Wink
Now that would be funny.Leave it out overnight and come back to see your barrel all unraveled on you
Good job using what you had.I give you props for the extra smart use of paper.

yup it is cardboard, and it is not 1 inch sdr 21 because i had to put the cardboard into the 1 inch sdr 21 pipe with about 15 layers of duct tape.

So, you got a cardboard tube wrapped in duct tape sleved in SDR 21?
Now I've seen it all! U da man!
Your poll should have the option -- Do you like cannons made with duct tape? I'm gonna vote Awsome, and I'll tell ya why, because it stayed together when you shot the board, fantastic!

my mom hates this gun, because of how loud it is, and she does not like what i shoot out of it.
@jrrdw, yes, the sdr 21 is inside the valve, and i made it so the barrel slides, and you push the ammo, in this case the pvc rod, up the ass of the gun

now my dumb ass parents told me the only time i am allowed to shoot this gun is when i am at a park or at the lake, which i hate, so i will have to build a lower pressure cannon, they said what if your sister or the dog runs out while firing, it may kill them, but at the lake or a park, there are more people.

dude that sucks try to reason with them some.(Im sure you already have) also see if they think bigger is more powerful which is not always true. If they think that compensate for a small high pressure copper cannon. Most parents will think a small gun like The H.E.A.L cant do much compared to the SCTBDC.

Haha... I feel your pain.
Atleast your parents actually allow such cannons. All I can do is drool all day searching this site. I am what you call a cannon scavenger, when i see something good to use, i'm all over it. This is what caused my roomful of half finished projects.
