after a bit of research i figured that the only hardware that is in a reachable drive time is ACE, also it's the only international there is, here in IL that i heard of here in Spud Files :).
so my question in simple:
-Is ACE good for spudding (pneumatic)?
-Is there any sprinkler valves in ACE?
if you are don't sure just tell me how is ACE at your country/city?

They carry sprinklers and have pressure parts for pneumatics.

Its not bad where i live you can get most of your pressure rated pvc there but not parts and couplings. They have hose barbs and clamps and pipe nipples, close nipples etc. I have never seen a sprinkler valve there. But expect to pay more there than a homedepot, but the prices wont kill you.

Where do u live?

Israel I think :)

The Ace I went to in San Francisco, only had PVC Pressure parts up to 2" and had loads of brass and galv fittings but no sprinkler valves.

I think all ACE hardware stores are all independently owned and they only carry what they want or what they think the public in the area needs or wants....I think if you request it they may order it for you....I think if there are enough requests for one certin item they mite carry it....

Yes true, but under the Ace Hardware name they are obliged to carry certain items that HQ wants them to have.

My dad owned a hardware store in a similar chain (Mitre10) and he has to carry certain stock.

Just depends whether sprinkler valves are part of that certain stock or not.

You can check their website here: http://www.acehardware.com/home/index.jsp

I haven't seen a sprinkler valve at the ace near me, but I have seen a few sch. 80 pvc fittings there.

I order my sprinkler valves off the internet from an Ace Hardware outlet store out of New York City. It is http://www.acehardwareoutlet.com

So Ace Hardware does carry sprinkler valves but not at all locations. The one near me is tiny and the pvc aisle is so cramped i couldn't find anything. Just go to the one near you or call them and ask if they carry sprinkler valves

a friend of mine owns an ACE. he only sells appliances(washers, dryers, dishwashers, etc). no tools, no garden equipment. just appliances.

we have a lumberyard in town also. they too are ACE hardware. they carry everything but appliances, including pressure rated PVC up to 4".

go 10 minutes south to the next town and the ACE there deals in livestock feeds.

it just depends on the store.

Like most have said, ACE hardware stores are stocked mostly by their owners. Seeing as you are in Israel, I would say that the only way to definitively find out what they stock would be to go there yourself.

This is kind of funny because I just got back from getting parts their. So yeah I know how you feel Ace is the only hardware store near me too. What I think is bad about them is that they only carry a small variety of sch.80 and no sch.80 pipe. they also have what they call sch.20. I have no idea what it is so could someone help me?

Well i was bored and i clicked that link, and did a quick search for sprinkler valves, and it came up with a "rainbird automatic sprinkler valve" which was around $20.

Heres the link: http://www.acehardware.com/product/inde ... 3438897484

(sorry its so long)

Hope that helps.
