Yeah, but the FN 303 is rather more powerful than a paintball marker, and the rounds all carry bismuth in them, getting close to lead in density.

Lets not leave out that all those riot type guns are meant to hit that fine line of incapacitation, just before serious damage. Those rubber rockets, "bone breakers", have quite the history of doing more damage than they should.

Paintball markers are meant to barely leave a bruise.I for one can attest to the fact.I've been hit into the thousands for sure. That may or may not have something to do with the random ticks I get when sitting down :D

Indeed, so much for "rubber" bullets:

Wasn't there some similar incident where a rioter was killed with plastic birdshot?

It was, IIRC, used at a much closer range than it was ever supposed to have been (read: less than a yard).
Although, if you will run up behind a police officer who has a shotgun and you startle him, you can hardly expect not to get shot.

A bit like Palestinians throwing rocks at men with rifles

"Wait, these are rocks..."

Or whatever, that's not an incident I'm aware of - that's just my uneducated take on it.

When "damaging a person" there is always a small change of an instant kill, completely unintended.

Some time ago there was a fight between two boys on a school and the one accidently killed the other with just one punch on the spot next to his eye (dunno what the name of that spot is)
They were just having a small fight and the intention was ofcourse not anything more then to give eachother a blue eye and a bleeding nose.
But for some unknown reason the boy died on the first punch.
Till the day I'm dieing, I'll keep them spuddies flying, 'cause I can!

I was clarifying Solars recollection of a girl being killed by a pepper spray round.

interesting about the bismuth and density. Then again, someone on here was recently posting video of his high powered paintball chucker that was doing some serious damage with a regular paintball albeit at 900fps. I've only seen about half that velocity from a standard paintgun, but I guess it is apples to oranges with velocity and mass... or is it more like a smoothie in this discussion?

if you shot in the throat hard enough it could sweet up and you can die
(thats what i was told at a paintball planet) but there isn't that big of a chance of that happening i've been shot in the throat lots of times really hurts but no swelling

It's incredibly unlikely to be seriously hurt in paintball unless you

a) get hit in the eye

b) happen to be playing naked

Death is more likely and logical when riding a bike.

I get reminded of that every time a fecking big lorry smashes through the air beside me with hardly enough clearance to fit in an anorexic model :o

Tricky. Best way to describe one is to say they look something like this.
