hey guys im starting my second piston now its going to be a 2 tee with a 1.5 inch porting but im still a little blank on how to make interchageable barrels when you make inter changer able do you need to mod the bushing extending a little pvc out so the piston can seal or is there a way for the piston to seal against the bushing? help please

well this would be most difficult to explain so i will make a diagram

Ok now the red is a female NPT that is glued to the pipe that the piston seals against. Now the you attach the barrel with NPT male adapter that screws into the female adapter.

Its like a simplified version of Sex

hmm well 1.5" porting pipe sticks into tee then a 1.5" - 1.5" threaded (male or female) adapter on the 1.5" pipe then you can screw your barrels onto that.

edit: look at Limeimyscrotchus5 diagram and imagine the blue is the 1.5" porting pipe then what you need to do is add the adapter onto that :)

sorry for hijacking your diagram :P

thats what i did on my and it worked fine. Until it broke
but it had nothing to do with the bushing part it should be fine to use

What I did was stick a threaded 2"-1.5" bushing in my 2" tee, then glued some 1.5" pipe sticking out the back of the bushing, the piston seals against this.

I then proceeded to glue the bushing in the tee, you don't need to mod anything.

you just glue it on the surface of the bushing? or in a hole cause if you glued it on the surface of a bushing it would easly fall off.

In the hole in the bushing.

In a threaded bushing, say female 2" threads with a 1.5" socket(no threads) I glue 1.5" pipe facing away from the 2" threads in the 1.5" socket.

I don't think it was meant for that, 1.5" pipe just fit perfectly in the back of the bushing.

ah i see does it have to be a certain manufacture? spears? lasco?dura? and so half the 1.5 is in the busing and the rest is the threaded part for the barrel correct?

No idea, just go and test them out at the store.

Half of the 1.5" is in the bushing and the other half is inisde the tee, the piston seals against it.

You use the 2" threaded part for a male 2" threaded adapter which is connected to your barrel of choice.
