God help me, but this is a discussion forum and hopefully I can ask a question here. If not then I won't bother anyone anymore. Has anyone ever tried to make a secondary piston valve to dump the main piston valve, and if so, what are your suggestions? Thanks.

Yes, they do exist and are good pilot valves for large piston valves.
Im too lazy to search one up for you, but there are some of these around and by searching for them you can make yourself fammiliar with the search button.
Wich also prevents useless questions but thats another thing......

But yes, they do exist and I've even got plans for building such a thing.

Yes I've did it. Using a 1/2" porting valve to pilot my 1.5" porting valve. It worked great and could be piloted with a blowgun.

look up Ragnarok's HEAL cannon, it uses a QEV (basically a piston valve) to pilot the main piston.

QEVs are NOT Piston valves. They are specially designed diaphragm valves.

I have seen QEV's with pistons.
