Hey guys,
I've some ideas for a diy paintball gun, i've never done something like this before, so can you people check it?
A picture says more than 10^10 words, so check my attachment below.
Darker blue = Higher Presure

v2 is on the bottom of this page

it might work but i think the air will just slowly leak out without cycling the valve.
jsr has alot of experience with this phenomenon.

the hard part will be getting the inner barrel/open port for your magazine or gravity feed to be centered properly but still be able to maintain the pressure...
I also would think that the release of the pressure wouldn't be so quick and would slowly leak

@thespeedycicada
Tnx for your reply.
Near which valve do you thing the air wil leak out?
When the valve is in the middle, all gaps are covered...
(btw: who is jsr ? )
@Davidvaini
When i make the prototype, ik will make more gaps, so i think the air will release fast enough

the air would leak at your gravity feed right before it fires... that is if im reading the diagram correctly...

eeh im sorry but what is "gravity feed"
my english is a bit poor

that is where your amo is comming from
like in paintball it is called a gravity feed hopper. and when it deos leak there then the amo will be forced up causing it to not load.
also if u have no trigger system it will cycle very fast
cycle: going through the firing sequence
and this is bad cuz then it wont load.

what i mean is it wont cycle it will just go Poofssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss until no more air is supplied.
@fretmelter if this actually does cycle i doubt it will be to fast and if that is a problem a blowgun instead of dirct link to the chamber is all that is needed.

true, so he will have to make it very air tight.
also how much psi are u going to take it too.
and mey i ask why u have sooo many chambers?? it seems like the tube after the large chamber (where your air suply is) can be eliminated.

Put a blowgun where the air resevoir is so you have control of how much air pressure gets in.
But as i said before i highly doubt it will cycle.

ok ok ill leave it at that. First lets see it cycle then we can procrastinate.

I didn't draw the trigger system, but i have plans for that. I think the left piston will not go back automaticly, but ik can make a handle or somthing for that.
@fretmelter i see the leak, ik will use one more o-ring to fix that.
Tnx for all your comments, i will try to make a prototype soon.

Hey,
I made a new design. Which is - i hope - better then the prervious.
Less parts, so less work

what causes the red part to go back first?

The spring in the green part will push it back.
