I went to a local home depot today to get the basic material for my upcoming project, I got a 9 inch long 3/4" galvanized steel nipple for the chamber. I got some marine epoxy (slow as hell) a tee , and a blow gun.. But when I got home the blowgun said its ony good up to 90 psi.. But I swear I have seem this blowgun on other peoples copper pistons.

It's the Husky brand lever safety blowgun.

Also. Can someone tell me what pieces I will need to connect the blowgun to a 1/2 tee and the same for a shrader to a 3/4?

Thanks again! :D

I have used my blowgun upto 200 psi. I also modded the blowgun internals to allow better flow.

Was it the same Brand?

Yes, they're fine. 90psi is a BS rating, they can take much higher. Don't worry they won't explode anywhere near 350psi, though they may leak.

Everyone knows this, there are even topics on this, you could've searched.

husky blowguns will fail at over 800psi.
Nothing to worry about.
And if it does fail then all that will happen is airr will rush out of it

Edit: Damn crowly beat me

Is there a link anywhere on how to mod blowguns for better flow? I finally got around to modding my sprinkler valve yesterday and I am still looking for ways to improve my cannon

Thanks!! I was a bit worried.. I only could buy a few things since this home depot is limited in supplies.... :x And like Brianmigs said.. How do you mod the blowgun for faster airflow?

( I will have a vid of the supplies I bought soon.)

Not true, if it fails it will also trigger the gun, which could wind up being a big problem

Actually, the way a blowgun will typically fail is the seals will blow out at high pressures once it it actuated. It then doesn't seal. The next time you go to fill your launcher air will just seep out the blowgun and your valve wont seal. On some cheap blowguns the the spring that holds the valve will wear out, but it takes a long time to wear that out. It might fire while you are pressurizing your launcher in that case.

To get down to the blowgun you need a nipple and reducers...

Another question, I was going to order a shrader valve off of BCARMS because all the shraders around here are the kind that you use a nut to tighten it down. But it says only good up to 150 psi.. I plan on using my mini coaxial to.. 200-300 psi. Btw, the barrel is gonna be 3/8, I have to buy more epoxy to keep in in place in the chamber..
