These valves look any good?

go to the third post for link.

They are gate valves, but it looks like you pull up on the handle instead of turning a knob left or right. Would these work good on pneumatics?

Even if they do turn and dont pull, could you modify one to make it pull up?

The sizes are 1"-2.5" (tennis ball? =])

That link leeds to a picture of flex pipe, not gate valves. Sounds like your talking about swimming pool filter valves. You can preview your post and test the links to make sure it points to where you want it to before summiting.

Nobody needs to repeat this, about the link that is.

Welcome to Spudfiles.

Did you mean <A HREF="http://www.flexpvc.com/cart/agora.cgi?c ... >these?</a>

I doubt it would be worth it, unless you have a huge chamber and long barrel, go with a sprinkler valve. Or better yet, a burst disk or piston valve. You could easily make one for the same price.

Yes, these are used on pool pumps. I've seen them hold back 30psi in water situations, but never for pneumatics. If you where to try it, you could go to any pool supply store and get it cheaper.
